The purpose of the innovation fund is to provide teachers’ Groups and Associations (TGAs) with opportunities to carry out some research project.  The project should develop innovative teaching methodologies, resources or approaches to learning in the TGA’s area; whatever is produced must be relatively easy for any school to adopt and sustainable once the pilot phase is over, and there should be some form of independent evaluation at the end of the project.  Every project will be judged on its merit by the TPN Steering Committee, based on the information provided, and the funding amounts will depend on its cost.
