How are branch meetings funded through TPN?

TPN funding is defined as ‘supplementary funding’ and it is intended for the continuous professional development of all teachers.  Because of the nature of its funding, it has to be available to all teachers, and not only members of a group.  Any association can use its own membership or sponsorship funds to pay for members-only events; however, if TPN funding is requested, the event must be open to all teachers and must be advertised in such a way that there is no confusion regarding this (i.e. the TGA's website or the local Education Centre's website).
